Pear and caramelized walnut pie

Pears and walnuts – again? Yes again. Don’t judge! First of all because pears and walnuts are always a great combo, so there is nothing to judge about it. Also, did I mention that I am currently moving, starting a new job and planning our wedding? No? Because I totally do. And it’s a lot of stuff to work on, I can tell ya. So a simple ole pie with things I found in my pantry is all I can master these days. And really – when was a pie ever not great? Especially when filled with sweet pears and caramelized walnuts.

Caramel Popcorn

A big HOORAY to the weekend! And here is a fun treat for, let’s say, the outdoors movie night you are planning?

Just pop ca. 100g of popcorn (without oil) in your pan with the lid on to prevent iron hot popcorn bouncing in your direction. Set aside. Now melt 40g of sugar and a heaping tablespoon honey with two tablespoon butter until everything is dissolved and slightly browned. I’d say that takes about 4 minutes. Now pour the caramel on your popcorn and mix well. Spread on a baking sheet and let harden for a few minutes. Crunch and munch with your favorite movie!

Tarte Crème Brulée

I am off to a weekend filled with wanderlust, dancing and meeting old friends. Life can be a real drag sometimes. So even though it seems like a lot of effort to fit in a weekend trip with somewhat long travelling hours, be sure to do it once in a while, to get yourself out of the everyday routine and out into the world. And little dancing can never hurt either! So, light my way – Amsterdam here I come!
Oh and I really wanted you to bring a cake Amsterdam, but then I totally ate it all. I will make it up to you by dancing at least as fun as the lovely darling from Lavender Diamond!

Sugar coated almonds

It’s official. I have warned you. Being home this weekend has tipped me over the edge. My Christmas mania has begun. So, all I did this weekend was decorating my parents’ house, picking out a Christmas tree in the woods and making sweet treats. What? You think that might be a little early? Not in my universe fellas! I enjoyed every last bit of it! And, seriously, who wouldn’t, with these little treats at hand?! (You think this looks kitschy? Hell yeah, it does, but it’s Christmas time baby!)
