Fully packed muffins

I am going to tell you a secret. A secret about muffins. The truth of that matter is: you only need one perfect muffin base recipe and you’re set. Than you can just add whatever flavors your heart desires and they turn out wonderful.
Ok, maybe this is not a huge revelation to you guys. It was for me though and it is very useful.
And without wanting to brag, because I usually am a very humble person, this poppy seed – pear- chocolate and marzipan chip flavor combination is divine. Like, heavenly divine! Allright, I start being my usual humble self again. Make yourself some muffins to get through Monday with a kickoff!

Ingredients

90g melted butter
90g caster sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 large egg
160g plain flour
2 ½ tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
180ml buttermilk
½ a breakfast cup chocolate chips
½ a breakfast cup marzipan chips
½ a breakfast cup poppy seeds
½ a pear, diced roughly

As always, start off with mixing the butter, sugar and vanilla, than incorporate the egg. Mix in the rest until you have a smooth batter and fold in your flavors with a spatula. It is the easiest thing.

If you’re trying the flavor combination above, be sure to eat one when still warm - when the melted chocolate, almond sweet marzipan, soft pears, and the subtle earthiness of the poppy seeds come out with all of their tender glory. Like I said, heavenly divine.
